money reversal
Good day.
I Patricia Mashiyi of ID number ***, a Capitech bank client would like to receive your sincere assistance in retaining my money from an unauthorized person. As a blind person, I requested an assistance to do cell phone banking transfer on the 15/11/2019, where accidentaly I happened to misquote the number I was sending the money to which is cell number *** and missed the last four digits and clicked 8783 an amount of r2000.00 went into a wrong account. I tried to call the person immediately after discovering that a mistake was made, the person told me to call her in the evening. I decided to Immidiately called the bank and told them about this, the bank assisted by blocking the access of the money and they also tried calling the person, she did not answer the phone up till today. The bank send me an SMS telling me that they are unable to reverse the money without the permission from the account holder and as a result the bank will keep the money no one will get access to it be it myself nor the account holder whom the money went wronfuly into her account. However, the worry is that the account holder is not responding positively despite several attempts made by myself and the bank to try and communicate with her regarding this wrongful transaction made into her account.
The bank send me to the small claims court where I am also failing to get help due to the fact that, I do not have full details of the person except being told that the name of the person is Shaldin staying in Cape Town.
I have tried everything to try and persue both the bank and the person who the money was transferred to her account but I am not winning. Please help, I need my money back.
