Logic behind Capitec responses. 13 April 2020
Dear Capitec, much to my surprise my complain was followed up within a day or 2. Blessings to the gentleman making the call, after once again listening to my predicament I was assured the the matter would be escalated to the legal/credit department. Yesterday I had the same gent calling again, unfortunately the outcome not so good. If at all the repayment is to be reduced it would be a max of R11/pm. I am not in a position to receive a reprieve and/or waiver as I'm not employed, apparently those perks are only eligible to employed customers. I really do hope someone reads this and explains to me the logic behind this. In short what you have now done to me is forcing me to be defaulting on my account seeing that I know there won't be monies for debit orders. I really thought by contacting you before hand a amicable solution could be found. You would rather have a customer that's going through a ruff patch, loose all his credibility thereby even closing more doors on employment than wait and extra 6 months. You would rather spend money on debt collectors ,collecting R20 p/m than make a binding agreement.
Gentleman/Ladies of Capitec, in this uncertain world we live in, is this really the route we want to take.
My debit order will be/won't be going through on 27 April 2020.
You need to ask yourself....Is it worth it?
Have a glorious day
