Loan went from approved to declined

I was pre-aproved for a loan on 30-10-2015. On 02-12-2015 I was phoned and told that everything has been finalised and I am approved. Quotation valid for 5 days. I asked that the consultant phone me 20 min later as I need to confirm whether I want the loan. She assured me that she is working till 6:00 so she will phone me back. I never received the phone call. Over night apparently my credit rating changed (because apparently I app**** for other loans as well\ and all of a sudden on 03-12-2015 (24 hours later) I was declined. How can a quotation be valid for 5 days but the next day it changes. Makes no sense. I have gone from an approved loan to a declined loan.
