Loan Settled - Very Annoyed

Had a loan with Capitec almost 10 years ago, lost my job and couldn't keep up with the monthly repayment of the loan and the account was ultimately sold to DMC without my knowledge, fast forward 2019 ,got the new job and settled the account Annoying - almost a year ago and received paid up letter. The problem i have is even though i do not owe Capitec any cent, i went to the bank to try and apply for a loan but was told the bank has banned me from obtaining any further credit from them. This is an abuse of credit granting power from Capitec, i tried several times to resolve this issue with the bank but they seems not caring for their clients ,i have served my time and settled the account but i still can't be assisted which is very unfair
