Loan referral

On 13 Feb 2017 my son of 19years old received a call from a Mike claiming to work for capitec overport city durban. Mike had offered my son a loan of R10000 and repayment would be R500 a month. He had offered to pick my son up from work to complete this loan offer. I had then offered to take my son directly to the branch as i did not know this Mike. On arrival he was asked to wait outside the bank for Cindy a broker to assist him. 1hour later my son walked out of the bank with a R15000 loan with repayments of R2000 a month. Upon exiting the bank he was approached by Mike and Cindy insisting that he draws R3000 cash and give them as referral commission.

I was devistated, called the bank manager and made him aware of what had happened. I told him a staff member was also involved. He did not even ask for those members names but told me its not the banks concern as my son paid them outside the premises. After extensive investigations i found Mike to be a taxi driver working together with Cindy and a 3rd capitec employee.

Money was returned back to me by cindy and Mike after tracking them. I am still opening a ******** case. I have whatsapp messages from these suspects and recorded calls as proof.
