Loan at Capitec Refused Unreasonably

My son went to one of the branches in Carnival Mall today (16/11/2024). He wanted a loan to buy second hand appliances in order move into his own place. Had everything with him including payslips. Unfortunately I did not take the lady's name but once upon looking at the payslips, she said that she cannot help him with anything since the name of his workplace does not correspond with what they have on their system. She did call the branch manager and he agreed with her not to give anything to my son. She even Googled my son's workplace name etc but still no help from her. The payslips clearly indicates their address, tel numbers and the VAT number but she refused still. Her reasoning was that my son's workplace needs to change the name on the payslips first.

That does not make any sense since the name is registered like that, all of this because of one word that made her make this decision: "and" instead of "&"....this clearly indicates that she did not want to assist since it was a Saturday morning but still, the branch was not busy at all I might add. My son also banks with Capitec, so she could also get bank statements for the last 2 years if she really wanted to, to check if his salary gets paid into his bank account with them and even check the company name but she did not even do that.

Really not a service you want from your bank.
