Loan approved yesterday, declined today

I hav e been a client of capitec since 2009 and I am very disappointed with the fact that they won't assist me with a loan! Yesterday I have app**** for a loan of R 12000 which I was approved for, I have received a call today saying I must come sign for my loan as my employment has been confirmed. I went to the branch to sign and asked if the amount can be increased to R17000. I was declined due to affordability, the lady who assisted me said I can't even make a loan of R1. So what changed in one afternoon? I will now go to another bank who has already pre approved me as my own bank is pathetic.
