License disc renewal on Capitec Bank app is a big liability to its customers.!!!
On the 22nd of July 2024 I used the banking app to renew a license disc for my car. R855 fee was deducted and R50 processing fee was also deducted from my account. The app states that my disc would be received within 5 working days upon payment. These days have passed, and when I went to a Capitec branch in Kwa-Thema to enquire, they are unable to assist me and I was given Natis contacts (WhatsApp and e-mail) rather. However, when I contact Natis as suggested, there is no response whatsoever. I feel hard done by Capitec as they offer a service that has no support for their customer. Moreso they charge an additional fee for this service, but when things go wrong it seems like "you're on your own". They can atleast offer a refund and allow the customer to make an alternative, as now I have been stopped by traffic police and almost got a fine for an expired licence disc, whereas I have paid for a new licence disc already. As much as Capitec Bank can blame Natis for such, why offer a service to your customers, market it as a convenient process, charge a service fee, but fail to follow up on behalf of your client when things go wrong?
