I've been *****ed & insulted by Capitec Bank

I am very disappointed with Capitec and I feel that I have been *****ed. Capitec provides falls information to their clients and they don't keep to what they promised their clients. I had a credit card with Capitec and I think I owe them around 10 if not 12K and it happens that I got retrenched due to the pandemic we facing as the nation.

I went to Capitec branch in Wonder Park (Pretoria) to report and they told me I need to complete certain documents which I did and when submitting those documents there were other document they printed and told me that it needs to be completed by my employer which I went back to the employer to complete the form and return to the bank.

Later in August 2020 I got a call from the bank confirming that my claim has been approved but surprisingly Capitec keeps on debiting my account. I went back to the branch on the 26th September 2020 to find out why my money has been debited by Capitec if my claim was approved? The lady who assisted me makes calls to insurances & she was pointed to Collection division and Collections pointed her back to Insurance which I found very frustrating & irritating. The confirmation she got was that paid out was made for R 73.73 (Seventy Three Rand And Seventy Three Cents) what an insult from Capitec after being a client for so many years. I recently settled 83K with Capitec for the loan I had with them and I got insulted by Capitec instead of settling my credit card as per their credit policy that if you got retrenched they will settle whatever that you owe to them.

What irritated most is that my wife makes a transfer of R950 to my savings account on the 16 September & another R150 on the 22nd September 2020 and the amount went to the credit card account and when I ask Capitec to transfer the funds back to my savings account they didn't and only transfer back the R150. The initial agreement was for Capitec to debit my account month end not the 15th of the month. This is unacceptable and need this funds back to my savings account.

I also need feedback on the claim they paid R73.73 as I wanted the documents I completed because they have the date when I signed the docs and they should also have the date when the claim was submitted.
