Irreversible money from capitec account

Hi. I was trying to transfer money for my kids in my wife's capitec Account. Then i missed by one number and the money was transferred into wrong account and it seems like the phone number of the account holder in no longer in use. Now because of this mistake the capitec bank is saying they cannot reverse the money because they cannot reach the owner of the account and they said the money will be on hold we cannot get it even the other person cannot withdraw it. my number wife's number and the number that i transferred the money differ with only one number. I understand that we are the ones who made mistakes But our kids are suffering while the hanging in that account. PLEASE ASSIST US GETTING THE MONEY BACK.
