Incorrect Loan Repayment Date

Hi

I took a personal loan from Capitec in 2016 and the agreement was that they will deduct their repayment on the 26th each month. In February 2017, they send through their debit order on the 23rd (Thursday) which was inappropriate. In February, the 26th fell on a Sunday so their debit order should have gone through on Friday, 24 February. Not on Thursday, 23 February.

This resulted to my bank charging me R150 bank charges as the debit order got returned due to insufficient funds. I was not paid on 23 February.

I called client care and spoke to Ms Neo Khashane (Ref no: ********** 4) who couldn't assist me and asked that I call the Collections Department (***). I did that and Ms Stephanie Ayer answered my call and asked that I call the Complaints Department (***). I did that as well but there was no answer.

My request is that i get refunded R150 by Capitec for the bank charges that I had to pay for their wrong doings!

This is not the 1st time i'm experiencing trouble with Capitec loan repayment and I honestly am fed up with their service!! If I had it my way, I would have paid their loan upfront and cut all communication with them.
