Immigration experts at Capitec
My wife received an sms saying her bank account will not be functioning from end of December 2024 if she does not bring a new permit. The self appointed home affairs experts at Capitec Capegate refused to accept her new permit, saying there are certain things that they check on the permit. My wife is a holder of an "accompanying visa", which is "section 11[6]". I am a permanent resident [PR] holder, and wives of PR holders are issued with an "accompanying visas". The visa/permit is written "VISITORS VISA" at the top, but in the middle it states who she is "accompanying", and is valid for 5 years. So there are 2 variations of this visa/permit, there is the Section 26[B], this is plain "accompanying", and the one my wife is holding is Section 11[6], which [clearly] states her place of work, and who she is "accompanying".
They then phoned their "permits expert", and, i think simply because they saw it says "VISITORS VISA" at the top, they refused to accept the permit; despite
1. the accompanying visa/permit clearly says it is valid for 5 years. 2. the visa/permit also clearly states that my wife is allowed to work [at ******xx] during those 5 years she is in RSA 3. and importantly she showed them she has a slip from Home Affairs for her application for permanent residence, for which she used the same "VISITORS VISA" that they are refusing to accept
Surely, common sense must kick in in some of these circumstances, a normal "VISITORS VISA" is valid for 90 days dah.
