Immediate EFT Transfer Glitches
My salary was paid onto my account on the 2nd of September 2021 with an immediate transfer EFT from my employer. Funds did not come through or reflect on my account until I had to contact Capitec Bank last to enquire as to what the problem was. The consultant l spoke to immediately informed that they had glitches in accepting immediate transactions from the 2nd to the 3rd of September, but their IT department has resolved the matter around 16h00 and all immediate EFT's have been returned back. My concern here is the lady said it may take 2 days to reflect from the sender/payer FNB therefore my debit orders which are all due today will be affected and return unpaid. Capitec Bank did not inform clients of the glitches, and l had to contact them directly to enquire on the delay in my salary. Capitec Bank must write me a letter explaining this inconvenience which they have caused and will send that letter to all lenders that the debit orders will return unpaid, as now am only expecting my salary early next week. Capitec Bank must also not charge me for any unpaid debit orders as this was their fault and am sure it didn't only affect myself but a lot of individuals and businesses.
Thank you for letting us know of your concern, and for your patience while we explore this matter. We have assigned your query to a designated official who will contact you within the next business day.
Kind regards
