I never get responses for job applications, ever! There is no transparency in your recruitment process

Hi

I have been trying to apply for East London positions at Capitec with no luck. The one time there was a post I could apply for on your career site which I app**** for but then thought I should go to the actual branch to speak to the manager. I went to the Capitec manager at Mdantsane city in East London when there was a post available there. The manager completely ignored me. People looking for jobs are treated like Beggars and I don’t like it. If that’s the kind of company you are then maybe it’s not a good thing to work for you. Also, it seems like people in your branches already have people they want to sneak through the system. Your manager might have had one of their friends in mind anyway (Is m not saying that this is the case but I know a lot of people who didn’t go through your online platform to get a job. You get a job at Capitec if you have connections). This sucks. We take our time to fill in applications clearly just for formality as you never get to deal those applications because there are CVs that are sent directly to the branch by staff buddies that gets dealt with without going through the online platform. In future, please advise whether you want applications sent through gumtree or directly to the branch instead of your online platform. I’m not sure how the online platform is used anyway because I never get responses (declines nor interview referrals). It’s so discouraging to fill out a whole application only to get no response. You need to be honest with job seekers and tell them where exactly they should apply the online platform is not it

I really wanted to work for one of your East London On Boksburg branches

Good evening

I received a call from Jayne Pillay from HR in Cape Town. I don’t appreciate her tone in dealing with this matter as she was basically raising her voice at me for bringing this to your attention. According to her, I didn’t have to complain here. My question is, if we as applicants experience issues with your recruitment process and feel as though it isn’t transparent, where should we report it? Jayde also rudely asked me why I am saying people that go through managers get the jobs. This is my experience and you cannot tell me to erase what I have witnessed. The problem is your HR process and you need to fix it. It’s unfair taking time to complete an application for a company that doesn’t even look at them. I’m not happy with the way this complaint is being handled. Please assign it to someone who wants to help
