I had called in on Tuesday regarding a purchase which did not go through but the money was deducted

I had called in on Tuesday regarding a purchase which did not go through but the money was deducted. Was told it was escalated and would be refunded within 48 hours, now I am told to wait for another 24 hours of which it's not even clear if the money will be refunded or not.
