Horrible service
On the 30th I reported the ***** case with Capitec ***** incident no:***3 and they already told me nothing can be done on their side so helpful I must say, and I was told to report with SAPS.
Reported with SAPS on the 31st case no ..........
To my surprise barely even 2 hours since I reported the matter with Capitec they send me an email confirming that my request to recover funds was unsuccessful.
On the 3 June 2024 I called Capitec spoke to Matthew to confirm if they can trace how the funds were withdrawn, he confirmed a card was used to withdraw funds from my account.
I then called Capitec ***** department spoke to Ramokone to find out what investigations or efforts were done to assist me in getting my funds back because their email said nothing of value.
I quote Ramokone ‘s response “Funds were withdrawn /taken out they are not able to trace funds that were withdrawn they can’t get it back or trace it.”
My question to Ramokone was I reported with Saps can they speak to who they must get access to the FNB machine which swallowed my card because if my card is inside that machine I need them as my bank to explain how the same card was able to withdraw at an ABSA and Capitec ATM.
Her response was nothing can be done from their side because this happened at a FNB ATM I need to speak to FNB to assist me only FNB can check if their ATM was faulty or not.
On 3 June I called FNB ***** department spoke to Rulani who confirmed that Capitec needs to contact the affected /implicated banks on my behalf do their Investigation as my bank they will have traces of what activities took place on my account which was another surprise for me because Capitec consultant Ramokone was quick to tell me to fly and do this myself.
I did not pay school fees, transport for my child. I have no food some of my accounts are not paid. My bank told me to go jump. My card was never retrieved at FNB ATM even after I asked if they could investigate starting by checking that FNB ATM no effort was done by my bank to trace the card that was swallowed and yet money was still withdrawn from my account What security measures have you put in place for situations like these. How many ordinary South Africans get ****med like this and the bank says “Unfortunately not our problem we can’t trace” I do not accept what this Ramokone the consultant from Capitec said to me. You “Capitec” need to take accountability and do the right thing “PAY BACK MY MONEY” I am hungry, stressed, cannot sleep at work they even offered me to work from home as I cannot focus properly. I am all over the place as I type this, I want to scream………..
