Horrible Customer Service

I paid up my personal with Capitec in January 2021. The account remained open and everytime I went in branch to close it I was told the account was handed over. I then contacted the attorneys who told me the account was in fact with Capitec. After months of running around, I submitted a paid up letter to Capitec via email requesting that the account be closed (This was in July). They then proceeded to close my Credit account which was completely incorrect. I then responded to the email requesting that the correct account be closed but I have not received any response.

Since then, I have sent numerous emails and called in only to deal with rude consultants who make empty promises to get back to me which never happens.

I am definitely considering moving my business elsewhere, this customer service is pathetic. More so, this loan has been negatively affecting my credit history!

Good Day,

The matter has indeed not been resolved. The account still reflects on my credit record as unpaid. The account still reflects as open on my banking profile.

As mentioned, this is an incorrect representation on my credit record.

As requested previously, I want this account to be closed which has thus far not been done. Perhaps I am missing something, but my query has definitely not been resolved and it has been 3 months already!
