Holding me hostage

Good day,

Capitec bank is refusing to close my savings account with them. I'm trying to close this account as part of my requirement with my creditor to have the debt I have with you settled in full however Lehlohonolo at your Main street branch in Johannesburg is telling me that this would not be possible as there is an amount outstanding, I fail to understand this reason as the very same reason for my request is so that I pay the outstanding amount on the account in full.
