Help stop debit order abuses by Telkom

I want to start by saying that I am very happy with Capitec Bank and its services. I think all banks need to be cognaissant of this complaint as it relates to debit order abuses.

Unfortunately, Telkom SA (yes the infamous telecommunications company that marauds South African citizens) generates different account numbers when taking money from one's account. In January this year I cancelled my fixed line connection with Telkom, however the aforementioned infamous company has still been taking money off my account with the latest debit order being the 1st of July. I initially reversed a debit order in March and blocked the respective Telkom account - some months went by and I reviewed my transactions and found several entries where Telkom had taken money off my account - each from a different account number.

My request: I do not want Telkom to take money off my account!

Unfortunately, the helpful bank clerk stated that he can only block individual account numbers, however, he could not block a field (i.e. 'Telkom SA'). My request is that Capitec (and other banks for that matter) develop the technology or put systems in place where one can block a field e.g. 'Telkom SA' and not only individual account numbers. Alternatively, a system that blocks debit orders from all the account numbers that relate to one firm.

I would like to keep this discussion public as to elicit Capitec's commitment to limit debit order abuses.
