Have to wait 24hrs to get my own money back that the atm took!!!

Tried to make a deposit yesterday at one of your ATM at N1 City, the atm took my money and went straight out of service??♀️ called the call centre number provided at the atm and was advised i need to wait 24hrs to get MY OWN money transfered back to me. Yes i know there is processes in place for this, what i don't get is why the atm will take your money and after even pressing the cancel button, you can't even get your money back. I am honestly considering changing my bank after this experience. I am beyond annoyed really. How do you even have 1 atm for deposits as well??♀️
