Handing customers over without proper due diligence

<p> </p> <p> I took out a personal loan over 6 months, understandably I had soe late payment issues, but always liaised with capitec and made the final 3 payment arrangements with them. Capitec, took the 2 debits and failed to follow up on the final debit. A day or 2 after the final debit was to have gone off, I get a call from a collection agency, calling on behalf of Capitec for collection. I call Capitec and explain their failure to follow up on the final part of the arrangement made. The consultant continued on to tell me that, I had some late payment issues (I already know this) and that I should have been handed over, long before the arrangement had been made (Moot point really). </p> <p><br /> </p> <p><br />If I should have been handed over, long before, then communicate this to me, rather than allow for the arrangement, follow through with 2/3 of the arrangement, and on the final settlement of the account hand me over. </p> <p> </p> <p><br />This situation has cause great distress, as I have now been listed on Transunion/ Experian, I have learnt, at application stage for car finance. I have visited the branch, where a very helpful and capable young man, is assisting me have this paid up, but I would need for Capitec to acknowledge the disfunction on their system and the protocol followed in this regard, providing me with a paid up letter, and immediately removing the listing off Transunion/ Experian. </p> <p> </p> <p><br />Please assist me ASAP</p> <p> </p> <p><br />Christopher Naidoo</p>
