Handed over status

Today when I tried to apply for credit with capitec i was declined with reason that I had an account with them that was Handed over to the attorneys. What makes me angry is that , I paid up that account almost 10 years back and capitec have never updated my status still today and the attorneys when I remember correctly sent the letter of completion around 2***.

Please capitec assist as this is affected my financial well-being and to get credit for life emergencies.
