FRUSTRATED!!!

I am absolutely appalled by the shocking lack of professionalism and consideration displayed by Capitec Bank. I had a 32 day investment account with Capitec and requested them in November 2024 that the money be released as I was going on holiday in December and saved the money to have a very nice holiday in Cape Town as I was getting engaged and everything. Needles to say Capitec did not release the money while we were in Cape Town and I had to borrow money to get back to North West. I went to enquire about the release of the money and every time I was told that they are still busy processing it. Since the end of February due to “suspective *****ulent” activities on my account my bank account was frozen. I tried to pay my debt by making EFT payments but that was stopped by Capitec bank and my debt remained unpaid and a hold was placed on the money in the account. Since then I am going to the bank twice a week just to be told that they are still busy with the investigation. They do not phone me or have any type of communication with me on what is going on with the investigation. I need to take off from work to visit the bank every time just to hear that they are still busy with the process. I had to borrow money to pay my loans and car payment which was really embarrassing. How can a bank put a hold on one’s salary. Surely a person work to put food on the table and pay your debt with your salary. What should one do if there is no money to buy food and no money to provide for your family and the bank just have no sympathy? How do they expect me to survive when they hold my money hostage? I was not informed of any issues, I received no prior warning, and here I am left scrambling to figure out how to feed my family because of your incompetence. This is just cruel! Why can they not release my salary at least!! I demand an immediate written explanation for this absurd situation and an an urgent resolution to unfreeze my account. I will escalate this issue to the relevant authorities including the Banking Ombudsman and any consumer protection agencies available. Additionally, I will not hesitate to make it publicly known how Capitec treats its customers. I will be waiting for any communication from you, not that I should have to.
