Frustrated!
I am having a few concerns and dissatisfaction's with Capitec - relating to my loan account with you. Firstly when I app**** for a consolidation loan the consultant that assisted me used information/the settlement amount from the Credit Bureau, and did not request a settlement letter from African Bank. After the Capitec consolidation loan had been approved and Capitec paying the loan at African Bank, African Bank informed me that I still have an outstanding amount and they can only close the account once I have settled the full amount. I had to pay an amount of R2,395.47 to settle African Bank. Of which if the Capitec consultant that assisted me had done her job properly and contacted African Bank to request the settlement letter and get the correct amount that I owed African Bank, I wouldn’t have owed African Bank. Secondly, in January 2020, Capitec debited my account (external bank) early, on the 21st of January instead of the last day of the month as per the arrangement/agreement. This resulted in the debit order bouncing, as I hadn’t been paid on the 21st. I was reassured that the debit order will definitely go off on the last day of the month. But they did not process the debit order end of January 2020. Now to my surprise Capitec is sending me sms’s advising me that my loan account is in arrears, yet they did not even process the debit order on the last day of the month, because the money was in my external account on the last day of the month, and still is. I am very concerned as this is going to reflect negatively on my credit profile and affect my credit history.
I have sent an email to Capitec on the 05 February 2020 however I still have not received a response.
Complaint Management will take ownership of this investigation and will provide you with feedback within the next five working days. I trust that the matter will be resolved to your satisfaction.

I received a call on Monday, 10 February 2020 from Wendy who asked me to run through my complaints and what I wanted Capitec to do regarding my complaints. She advised me that they will investigate the matter and get back to me within 5 working days. Of which she asked me if I would like a call back for the feedback or if I preferred a different method of communication, and I advised her that email will also be fine, as I might not always be available to take calls, due to work.
On Friday, 14 February 2020, I received a call from another lady (didn't get the name). Of which I asked the lady to kindly call me back in 2 hours, as at the time my battery was extremely low. However she never called back. And up to now I have not received another call neither have I received feedback via email.
So I am still in the dark, and my fear is the next debit order is soon and I need to know about the interest or penalty thereoff. How ***********!
