FROZEN ACCOUNTS, DISGRUNTLED CLIENT

On the 22/06/2017 I called Capitec call center to have my number updated after ******* transections had been don on my account due to an ******* sim swap that had been locked with Vodacom on the 16/06/2017, the number according to a Vodacom consultant had been unlocked without my knowledge on the 20/06/2017, upon realising that money had been taken in my account I immedietly called Capitec and had have the number removed from my cellphone banking an a new number added. And a call was then logged with the ***** department. On the 28th I then recieved a call from a lady from Capitec assuming shes from forensic and that basically what happen to me happens alot and Capitec wont be able to refund me the money taken and i said fine.

So now im here thinking that this matter has been resolved and all is well. On 30/06/2017 i start recieving sms debits of payments id made several days ago that had gone through on my savings account on my other account linked to my card, its like 3am and im confused as to what exactly is happening then log onto my app to see why the payments when through my other account, then i see that my savings account is not active on my app, only my other two accounts are reflecting, also it states that there are no active cards linked.

So first thing in the morning i head to my nearest branch to find out exactly what is happening, upon consultation i find out that my account or RATHER ACCOUNTS, have been frozen due to the reported ***** on my account. The assisting consultand was told that i have to supply WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION FROM VODACOM, AFFIDAVIT, AND MY ID in order to have my account unlocked.

Please note that i was NEVERnotified of this hold until i went into the bank, SECONDLY MY OTHER TWO ACCOUNT WITH FUNDS ARE ALSO NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR ME TO ACCESS UNTIL I CAN PRODUCE SAID DOCUMENTS.

So fast forward to me trying to obtain this illusive letter from Vodacom I say illusive because since applying for the letter on 30/06/207 even today im yet to recieve it, Vodacom said i should go open a case with the police, the police say to ME that i need a copy of the statement with the ******* transactions to open a case. I then proceed to go to my closest bank asking for a statement(bare in mind my account is frozen so no access to account) the consultant then calls customer care, customer care says call forensics and forensics says call customer care, so that whole back and forth went on for 30mins basically resulting in me NOT GETTING MY STATEMENT. Luckily for me i had send the statement to myself via email on the 22/06/2017 when i picked up the transections.

I then head back to the police station and am able to open a case, i get a case number and submit all documentation to Vodacom on 3/07/2017 and have since not recieved my letter or a response.

I am baffled as to why Capitec will not take my case number as im being held at ransom for a letter Vodacom cant seem to issue, furthermore im headings to almost TWO WEEKS WITHOUT ACCESS TO ANY OF MY MONEY, How the hell am i supposed to live without access to my hard earned money???

Im now at such a point of frustration that Iv open an account with FNB and in the process of switching over, once im able to resolve this stupid issue with Capitec i will be taking all my money and CLOSING ALL MY ACCOUNTS.

You guys encourage people to have multiple accounts under one card for convenience and all that other nonsense but go ahead and block ALL accounts due to an issue on ONE account.

Im also gonna encourage EVERYONE i know whos using your bank to switch to another bank because this is ridiculous and unfair business practices.

A I write this letter im still waiting on Vodacom.
