Friendly warning to beleive Capitec's promises at your own peril

A friend of mine just had her Capitec Bank account hacked after a ********** SIM SWAP, and Capitec is blatantly refusing to reimburse her even though they promise clients that no other person can access their accounts using the App if they do an unauthorized sim swap on their client's cellphone number because its linked to their physical cellphone/ handset. Refer to this https://www.capitecbank.co.za/help-centre/faqs/ to see for yourself. To the contrary and interestingly so this is what they had to say to my friend after falling a victim of SMISHING, and I quote them:"Unfortunately, because this type of ***** can only be committed when your personal information is divulged we are not held liable and as result will not be able to refund you for your loss. Given the position set out above, Capitec Bank will unfortunately not be refunding the disputed amount of R 2,000.00 (Two thousand rand)."
