Money was taken out of my mothers account a month ago. Someone did an unauthorized sim swop with her number and was able to use the *120*3279# mobile banking service to send money out of her account. We complained to capitec bank about this, and they refuse to give her back the money as they claim that it’s not their fault. How do we trust this bank further if it is this easy to access someone’s account and take money from their account? It took us a month to get any feedback from them. When you call they tell you they’re working on it, but when you go into the branch they say that nothing much was done and the ***** department hasn’t even been contacted yet. This bank does not take their customers seriously. They side with ********* and do not protect their customers and their assists.
