FLY BY NIGHT BANK - CAPITEC BANK

On Tuesday the 25th(pay day) i mistakenly transferred an outstanding amount of money into somebody’s account who's also a Capitec Client using the App. I then went to my nearest Capitec Branch in Randburg to log a dispute and request that the money be transferred back into my bank account. The lady whom i spoke to understood that it was a mistake and advised me that she does see the transferral whereas they can’t do anything about it and that its ******** to go into somebody’s account without their consent in which I understood. On the 27th(Thursday) ,the person whom i mistakenly transferred the money to accompanied me to the bank to get the matter fixed seeing that I told the person that they need his consent.

We got to the bank and they looked on their system and only to find that the guy whom i mistakenly transferred the money to, had a loan with the Bank in which it was in arrears whereas the money which i transferred into his account was then taken by the bank to settle whatever difference that was owed to the bank.

As a customer you are not protected by this bank which makes me feel like my money is not safe with them. The people who work there only know how to say that they cannot assist or there is nothing they can do. It seems like they are running a Mickey Mouse bank. The consultant tells me I forfeit the money, but why don't they have a turn around time like other banks where you can rectify any mistakes. What is the point of having a large database of customers and you cannot take care of them? They are not willing to assist or keep their customers happy. Their customer service is ridiculously horrible and I would never recommend that anyone banks with them as your money is not safe and you as a customer are not protected. This is not the first time I have experienced issues with them.

Fact: when that guy took up the loan with them, I don’t remember signing it off in a sense that it should be a joint loan seeing that they recovered their arrears with the money i mistakenly transferred into his account(MY MONEY). Yes it was a human error I do admit but then I will not pay another man’s dues when I have mine to deal with. The initial agreement he had with Capitec when taking up the loan was that they're going to deduct the money from his SALARY and not from any unsolicited direct transfer.

Why lie to me and tell me that this kind of matter can be fixed just as long as you get consent from the other person who has to give you permission to transfer the money back into my account. I bring the person there and then you tell me something different. You guys Are a bunch of pathological *****, ****** and indirectly or directly this is embezzlement.

Simple: I WANT MY MONEY and believe me when I say that I will not take this lying down.

Do what's right and lawful and give back what belongs to the rightful owner.

I MUST SAY; CAPITEC BANK IS A FLY BY NIGHT BANK WHEREAS THEY CANNOT PROTECT THEIR CLIENTS AND THEY CANNOT RETAIN THEM.

ONCE AGAIN, I WANT MY MONEY.

Name: Tumisang

Cell no: ********** / 074 **********

Email: **********
