FAULTY TRANSACTIONS BY BANK/ *********** TO RECTIFY THEIR ERRORS LEAD TO MY MONEY BEING TAKEN
On 28 December 2018 I fuelled up at an Engen garage and paid via debit card. The transaction was successful and I received a notification that the money was taken off my account. On the 1st of January 2019, I received the same notification saying I don't have enough money in my flexi account. I did report this to the bank, because it's a double transaction and no money is supposed to go off from a flexi account. So the bank said I owed them money. I went to the branch in Woodmead and the consultant called the head office to tell them it is a mistake on their side. The transaction went off, how could they try and get money from my flexi account again for the same transaction, it must be fixed since I don't owe the bank. I was given this reference: # ********** 12 saying it will be resolved within 7-14 days whereby I will receive a call. Nothing happened. This morning I transferred money into that flexi account and the bank took my money. They never resolved it and rectified their mistake. Engen are ones who put through a double transaction and therefore they owe the bank. My money was taken due to the fact that Capitec is always doing ****. I want my money back. The service is horrible and they never resolved the errors made on their side. I don't have time to be hunting the bank, going up and down about things they can see on their side. I think I need to change banks. This is plain ****. If the consultant at the branch saw the mistake made, what kind if people are working at the head office who fail to look at transactions in front of them?
