Extremely unhappy capitec user {SASSA}

Capitec bank isnt as good as media platforms suggest. A sassa payment into mentioned bank have multiple, rather disturbing, fees generated, Apart from the above, a sassa paid individual is suffering to a extreme extent, here is this persons situation and felt the need to share: He receive his sassa payment into his capitec account and all was golden in the beginning , then recently he started to pay very high banking fees, as 2019 nearer the end he was subjected to a fee of R245 banking fees, he could not manage and reached out to a sassa "a credited" loan company, he borrowed R500 and had a festive December (no one should suffer at that time of year) he was well aware that the deduction would be R650. To his grave sadness, a R998. 43 was deducted. He tried to stop /reverse this debit as it was far more than the agreed R650. He was unable to achieve much but he tried contacting capitec call centre who in turn suggested to visit his nearest branch. When he did, they referred him back to the call centre and this went on for days. He contacted the loan company whom dismissed him and he tried the bank again, at the time of writing this he still got nowhere, in summary : He was charged up to R245 for bank fees He borrowed R500 [repayment R650 but R998 has been deducted] Gets no benefit from his "bank" due to the bank fees nor do they rectify any problem. The loan company surely do what ever they feel like

To most, the difference between 650 and 998 can be evened out by the 10% buffer you add to a monthly budget, however a R1750 payment from sassa is surely a hard one, then you get ignored by the same bank who is eagerly waiting to grab more of your only source of income. I suggested he should go and get a sassa card in order to relief himself from bank fees so unmentionable, and to ensure no "loan company" can '*****' his money.

*kindly note - this is by no means a written attack towards the institutions, it is however freedom of speech and had to become noted to media platforms.
