Empty promises and no service.

Capitec called me to say that I qualify for credit and that I should visit my branch.

I went to the Pretoria North branch, where I was told that they cannot assist me because of a typing error in the company name on my payslip.

After coming out of the bank, all of the ATM's were offline, and I could not even swipe my card at the tillpoint. I went back to the branch and I was told that they are offline. Very inconvenient on a weekend.

I got a letter from work, signed and stamped, saying that it was a mistake from our accountants and that I am in fact permanently employed by the company.

I decided to go to the Van Der Hoff branch where I opened my account, hoping that they could help me. I was told that I need to pay my credit facility at the end of the month first before I can apply for a loan. When I tried explaining the company name error, I was told that it has nothing to do with that and that they cannot assist me.

I've been running back and forth, wasting my time at branches. Capitec should not phone people to tell them that they do qualify for Credit if they do in fact not.

I've always been an ambassador for the bank, telling all of my family and friends to move to Capitec.

After the first issue, I decided to try again. After the second one, I'm seriously considering changing banks. Terribly disappointed.
