DONT TRUST CAPITEC WITH YOUR MONEY
WORST SERVICE EVER FROM THE SO CALLED ***** LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a victum of a **** which took money from my Capitec ( hate them with a passion now) I immidialty cintacted them and advised of what happened. Was told they will look into the case and i need to open a ******** case with the SAPS all this was done. One month later and i must follow up with them only to find out that they cant assist me. So why waist my time and charge me for a new card? they are the worst bank ever dont care about the clients. Surely if my surname or name was of a diffrent culture they would have assisted me and refund me. but because of my skin they decided that i am not good enough to help. THEY ARE ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello MARTIN CORRIE DAUTH,
You recently reported suspected ***** on your account. I am contacting you with an important update on your case. At Capitec we follow a strict process when handling ***** and I'd like to explain what happens next.
What you need to do:
1. Visit your nearest police station to open a case of ***** and get a case number.
2. Get a sworn statement from the police explaining what happened. Here is an example of what this statement could say:
On 1 March 2023, I found that money was taken from my account for a payment that I did not make. The amount of the payment was R2000. I have reported the case to Capitec.
3. Reply to this email with a copy of the statement and your case number or visit your nearest Capitec branch to give them the info.
You have 5 days from the date of this email to send us this info.
What happens next:
1. We will investigate where your money went and try to recover your money. Depending on what happened to the funds after it was taken from your account, we might be able to recover some of your money or we might not be able to recover anything. It is very important to note that we cannot guarantee that we'll be able to get your money back.
2. We are only able to give you a proper update after our investigation is complete and this typically takes a few weeks, please excuse our silence whilst we try to get your money back.
3. You will hear from us again when we have finished our investigation and can give you feedback on the outcome.
I want you to feel comfortable with what happens next so please chat to us on WhatsApp *** if you have any concerns or questions.
I look forward to helping you resolve this matter as quickly as possible.
Regards
