Dont take Funeral Cover with Capitec if you are covered at work or for any extended family whose funeral cover status you do not know of!
People do not take Capitec Bank's Funeral Policy. None of their staff informs you that any and all funeral policies, that is in your name or any person that you are covered must be cancelled. With the loss of your family members, you will stand empty handed. You would have paid your premiums loyally (They deduct it straight from your bank account) and not be able to contribute 1 cent towards a funeral. You will sit without your premiums and they will give you generic answers which I just got from Musa. I told Musa, that my company has compulsory funeral cover for me and no-one at the branch told me, that that kind of cover must also be cancelled. People start stuffing your mattresses again, if the "people's" bank can sell you products and take your money, only later to say, Sorry we noticed you had cover! I asked Musa, who told me that Centriq and Sanlam is all underwritten by Guardrisk how did the system not pick up that I am covered with my ID number. Why do they not want ID number's of your extended family, why is the date of birth ok? In this world of Information technology, it is impossible to not track policies, especially if underwritten by the same place. So the branch sells and sells and email you a copy or print you a copy after you have placed your thumb print there. Ethical business is the responsibility of both the business and the client.
