Dissapointed by Capitec Bank
On the 4th October 2021 I transferred R500 to ***. The number belongs to Sikelelwa Macobela, unfortunately she doesn't have a Capitec account however the money went into a Mr OJ Aweries account who "shares" a number with Sikelelwa. I'm being informed that I need to go to court in order to get the money back of which I find that very stupid because the owner (Mr OJ Aweries) Last used the account in 2019 that means he has not then updated his details, so Capitec Bank trying to get ahold of him will not be a success. I'm very saddened by how this matter has/is being handled, we are in the middle of a pandemic and every cent is needed to survive yet we are told to go to court in order to get the money back. Sikelelwa needs the money, she wont be able to afford money for court to assist.
