I have approached Capitec Bank to advise them that I have been laid off work due to a vehicle accident I had and I am not able to make payments towards my loan account. I had to complete a whole range of forms which I did. I emailed them back to Capitec for them to send to the insurers. I have now been told this matter can take up to six months to resolve and I must pay the account until such time as the insurers have decided whether they can pay towards the account or not.

Kindly note that the matter is already with your complaints department and this is the best they can do.
It was beyond my control that I lost my job. I'm sure that I'm not the only one in a situation like this. This is one of the reasons that you include insurance on unsecured loans.
Standard bank was willing to assist me. Now that is what I call a bank.
