Disgraceful, dustbin service

My mother who has an account with Capitec Bank had been receiving bogus phone calls from people asking to speak to someone we dont know of (Mbali Khumalo). Then her cellphone went offline and she couldn't receive nor make outgoing calls, could not receive nor send text or receeive any notifications including from the forementioned bank for two days. It is in this period that her account was accessed and funds transferred and transaction performed via cellphone banking an application she does not understand or ever subscribed to. Prepaid electricity & airtime was purchased (obviously a meter number and cellphone number it was sent to can be tracked. Then the remaining lump sum was transfered to the account of a Zanele Danisa. When asked to be furnished with the details of this Zanele we were told it is confidential information they cannot share with us (Really...after our privacy was violated and money which was supposed to be protected by this institution was taken without our knowledge. they are able to protect this Zanele yet cannot offer us any assistance or take any action).

We were at Jabulani Capitec Bank and we spoke to ZAMA a consultant there, she without giving us ant assistance at all said it was a case for the police there was nothing they can do at Bank level. Even though they have all these numbers and accounts which the money was transferred to and transactions were performed. We after no success did go and open a case at Jabulani police station which we were told we cant open a case there we would have to go to a place of our residency. We opened a case with Thulani (Snake Park) Police station ;case number:2017-04-08 handled by Mr.Matshela.

Later in the evening of us reporting this case, my mother still received a call from that same number ( ********** ) in which we decided to call the number from a different cellphone number. A male answered and addressed himself as Ndaba when we probed saying we were directed to him and we were not sure if he is the one we are looking for, he mentioned he was Ndaba Molefe from Capitec bank, we then said we will call him back, when we tried the number had been disconnected. All this info was shared with Capitec Bank. Even today we called and spoke to Siphokazi Capitec callcentre who said we need to go back to the branch as what they said does not make sence.

We were given these references: ********** 1;

********** 53;

********** 4.

What guarantee, security and privacy are we granted as customers ( paying customers) when ******* and ******** (with the helpof Capitec staff) have easy and free access to our money? Money we have entrusted with this establishment, when these are offered more shelter and protection? This is true ****a shop operation and and totakl disregard for your loyal customers. No empathy in form or shape was expressed, customer service which does not even fit for a ******* bin or toilet. Normal hard working South Africans have placed their hard earned money in your care to which this establishment, their staff and inconsistant practices and policies throw it back in their face and give thieving ********* an open door into their information.

Below terrible
