Difficulty opening a savings account because apparently I'm a *********

Yesterday I wasted several hours of my life on Capitec Bank trying to open a savings account - my ID wasn't acceptable beacuse it's a little damaged from wear and tear, so I had to drive back to home and get my passport. Then their fingerprint system couldn't find my fingerprints, and my passport also blocked their agents time and again throwing out messages that my documents are **********. Guess what Capitec? Nedbank and Wesbank and Wesbank gave me motor finance based on that same documents you reject as ********** - FNB gave me a home loan based on the same. I have had how many sim cards RICA'd with it. I hold a steady job for years now, have no ******** record and used that "**********" passport to travel abroad. I haven't felt this humilated in many years by such an arrogant institution such as Capitec bank. Thank you for Zak at the Pretoria Gezina branch, he did his best and I commend him for it, but he couldn't rescue me from the arrogance and incompetence of his employer. I want to warn everybody - event though Capitec has good interest rates (my motivation for opening up a savings account) they will make you pay for it in humiliation, frustration and wasting precious time with their bumbling incompetence.

Thank you Capitec for phoning me on Thursday to tell me everything should work now - the "blame it on the computers" routine is one of the oldest and lamest in the book but lets leave it at that. So I went in to the same branch at Jacaranda shopping centre and guess what? THE SAME PROBLEM!!! This after I was phoned and assured that everything should go smoothly on Thursday 15 September at 14:12. I was at the branch roughly 16:40 or thereabout. A new layer of incompetence has been exposed, at least to my mind, I mean why phone me and tell me everything should go smoothly and them it doesn't? This morning I phoned the Capitec Customer Care line and asked the consultant about some feedback regarding my complaint number ********** 8. The consultant could not find this complaint number even though this was sent to me from an email address at Capitec. I even asked him if I could forward the mail that I received from Capitec with the complaint number to him but he declined. To add insult to injury the consultant had a really hard time remembering my surname and kept refering to me by the wrong surname. It's not like I have a difficult surname, quite common actually so I do not understand this effect. After being put on hold for a really long time I terminated the call because I had better things to do.
