Deposit at atm

Went to a branch told us they dont do cash deposits anymore inside the bank. No one was informed about this as capitec always do. How do they expect us to deposit ove r10k at a atm where there are long lines no security and its in a mall.........? The staff was also not helpful at all when asked why didnt they inform their clients as always.... what's the difference of depositing at the atm and depositing inside the branch? Covid19? But they still touch the money from what I have seen at the atm....
