Deducting money 6 months later!!!
In July and September last year I made 2 computicket purchases unsing my capitec savings account. Both these transactions of R380 & R150 was successful & I got a sms the minute the transaction went through. A week later I receive an sms stating that these payments were \reserved\" for future payment. I phoned the bank to confirm that these transactions had gone off as my account was minus these purchase amounts. The bank confirmed these payments had gone through but have been reserved.

Now, almost 7 months later, both these transactions have been deducted again!!!! According to the bank these amounts were reversed but I received no SMS stating that money has been reversed. It's R500 which I am now short till pay day because of this.

I have 2 ref numbers: ***8 & ***3
Capitec, you have until Wednesday 24 Feb to give me an answer and refund my money and computicket confirmed they received both payment 24 July and 2 Sept, so how on earth can you deduct money again!! If I receive no answer I will report this to the banking onbudsman. You CANNOT deduct money when I have forgotten about it already!!

This is probably how you manage cheap banking fees, by deducting money twice. "
