Debit order taken off before the time

My fiance is a client of Capitec. He was always very positive about them, but today on the 17th of September they debited his account instead of on the 20th when he receives his salary. This is unacceptable what would they have done if there was no money in his account? His name is Frederik Johannes Grobler
