Debit order ***** on pensioners Account

Formal Complaint – Unresolved *****ulent Activity on Pensioner’s Account

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding the manner in which your bank has handled a serious ***** case affecting a pensioner’s account. Despite multiple attempts to seek assistance, the matter remains unresolved, and the account continues to be targeted by ******** activity.

More than R8,000 has been *****ulently withdrawn from the account in question, and despite repeated reports and follow-ups, your institution has failed to provide any meaningful resolution or even a timeline for recovery or protection of the client’s funds. To make matters worse, unauthorised debits are still being processed, compounding the financial loss and emotional distress caused to the victim.

It is extremely disheartening that a financial institution of your stature would fail to protect its most vulnerable customers, particularly pensioners who depend on limited monthly income. The lack of urgency, transparency, and accountability shown in this case is unacceptable.

We hereby demand the following actions to be taken immediately:

A full reversal of all *****ulent transactions dating from 30/04/2025 to present. Once the bank was notified the least they could have assisted with was putting a ***** hold on all debits in the account. When we requested such we were told its not possible. Why is the bank not willing to assist at all ?

A comprehensive investigation report detailing how the ***** occurred with no debit order mandate present and what measures are being implemented to prevent further breaches.

An official written apology and confirmation that the account has been secured from future unauthorised access.

Compensation for financial loss and emotional distress, if applicable.

If these matters are not satisfactorily addressed within seven (7) business days, we will have no choice but to escalate the issue to the Ombudsman for Banking Services and pursue other legal avenues to recover the funds and protect the affected individual.

We trust you will treat this complaint with the seriousness and urgency it deserves.
