<p>I took out a loan with Capitec in 2012 for R165k and Capitec stoped debiting my bank account in 2015 due to a debt counselor in error informing the bank that I was under debt counselling. I was contacted by lawyers in May 2016 telling me my Capitec loan account was handed over to them for collection, I informed the lawyers that my loan was paid up as the bank stopped debiting my bank account. Long story short I was dealing with Azalea Muller trying to resolve this matter as the loan account balance is now R180k which is rediculous and NOT my fault. I am NOT responsible for Capitec acting on erroneous information from a debt counseler - I borrowed R165k made payments from 2012 - 2015 so I owe what the balance was at the time that Capitec stopped debiting my account. I am NOT responsible for interest charges accumulated. So I need somone to contact me who can remove the additional charges and I will gladly pay what I owe but am NOT assuming a new debt of R180k!</p>
