Credit card Closure
I would like to express my disappointment with Capitec’s Credit Department. My credit card was paid in full as per the settlement quote provided to me on 03 September 2017 at the Mimosa Mall Branch. On 06 September 2017, I visited the Mimosa Mall Branch again to close my credit card. Once there I was informed I had to pay a further R24 even though a settlement letter was provided to me. I paid the R24 and received a SMS that my credit card has been stopped. I paid for a new bank card as well. I received a reference number ********** 8. Today I received a SMS to say there is again an outstanding amount of R26 that will be debited from my account on 02 October 2017. How can you collect money on a credit card that has been closed? Please close the account today and send me a formal letter of confirmation that my credit card has been closed before the close of business today!
