Confidentiality complaint

<p>My previous employer says he deposited money into my account on the 25th of October 2016. I went to the Capitec branch in Standerton and printed a statement which had the transaction - NSFAS Bursary and took in to the employer. On 28 October 2016 I get a call from the branch manager Buhle Xaba saying the employer came in and asked them to check the transactions on my account which she has subsequently done and they are seeing that there could be some glitch on their side as the statement I handed to my employer doesn't correspond with the one they have on their system. </p> <div> </div> <div>My concern - I gave my previous employer my bank statement to try and prove that I had not received payment from him however I do not understand how he can go to a Capitec branch and have the branch manager access my account without my consent and then when I ask the branch manager, Buhle how she accessed my account her response is "I am the branch manager, he is our client and you gave him your bank statement so we can access your account to check for him"</div> <div> </div> <div style="font-size: 15.351pt; line-height: 140%;">I called you customer service and spoke to Hlengiwe (call reference: <a style="font-size: 15.351pt; line-height: 140%;" href="tel: ********** 6"> ********** 6</a>) who disputed these actions saying my account cannot be accessed without my finger prints</div> <div> </div> <div>To me this seems as if anyone can walk into the Capitec branch in Standerton with just my account number and my account can be manipulated to suit their needs. </div> <div> </div> <div>Please address this matter as I feel that there are no confidentiality controls within this branch. </div> <div> </div> <div>Awaiting your response </div>
