***** Concerns and Inadequate Resolution

i am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the way Capitec Business Banking has handled a critical issue involving my account. The lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability from your side is unacceptable and has left me feeling unsupported and betrayed by the institution entrusted with my finances. It became apparent during my interaction that proper procedures were not followed resulting in unnecessary delays and frustration. As a business owner, time is critical and such inefficiencies negativity impact my operations.

On 04/12/24, a large sum exceeding R500,000 was deposited into my account under suspicious circumstances. Recognizing the potential for *****, I acted immediately and reported the matter to the bank, speaking to Ncamisile over the phone. Despite this, no protective measures were taken to secure my account. The following day, I was horrified to discover my account balance had been reduced to R0.

I reached out again and even visited the branch in person, where I was assured by your staff that this was not a ***** issue but an internal banking error. I was promised that my +- R12 500 funds would be restored the same day. This promise was never fulfilled.

The situation worsened when I escalated the matter to Sindi Ntuli, the manager. Her unprofessionalism, dismissive attitude, and lack of basic customer service were appalling. Rather than addressing my concerns, she failed to listen, offered no solutions, and treated the matter with a shocking lack of urgency.

The bank was irresponsible never acted even the matter was reported to them, if i was a ******** as Sindi Ntuli (Manager ***** department) is saying i would have spend all this money that is in my account but what i did is to move money into my savings account because the bank never took any action so i can use my account without spending money that does not belong to me.

Sindi Ntuli then said I committed a ******** activity by doing so that she can open a case against me. I believe calls are recorded and she does not acknowledge her team never acted quickly to resolve this matter. This was a huge risk for the bank. They would have lost R500,000 now if i was a ******** as per Sindi Ntuli statement to me. I asked Sindi Ntuli to give it to her manager but she refused to drop my call. The lack of professionalism and empathy is unacceptable, especially from someone in leadership position

Since the very first day, all I have received from the bank is the repetitive statement: “Your case is under investigation.” There has been no meaningful communication, no timeline for resolution, and no accountability for the mishandling of this case. This is a blatant failure of your duty to protect your clients and their assets. Unfortunately, this has left me questioning whether Capitec is committed to supporting the needs of its business clients.

I trusted Capitec with my finances, and this trust has been severely undermined by your mishandling of this case. It is now up to you to rectify this situation immediately and take full responsibility for your actions—or lack thereof.
