Concern Regarding Access Facility Account – Balance Not Decreasing Despite Payments

I currently have an Access Facility account with Capitec, and I make monthly payments of R2050. However, I’ve noticed that despite these consistent payments, the outstanding balance does not decrease. It feels as though I’m trapped in a cycle of debt, paying off something that could take a lifetime to settle. What’s especially concerning is that I’ve already paid back more than the original amount borrowed, yet the balance remains unchanged. This raises serious questions about how the payments are being allocated and whether the structure of this loan is fair.
