COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS

Being a Capitec client for well over 3 years, I would alsways be the first to promote capitecs brand.

Until TODAY, I can honestly say I have never delt with a group of people that really are just in no mood to assist as well as be proactive when dealing with my situation . A complete dont give a s*#t attitude.

I am a frequent user of my Capitec mobile bank app , due to the fact that it is very convent. I had loaded R100 MTN prepaid airtime on the last day of October (29-30) the app itself allwos you to directly take money out of your account and load the airtime to the given mobile number. Upon loading the airtime the R100 was taken from my account but the prepaid airtime not loaded on to my phone?? I then tried again as another R100 was deducted from my account but still no prepaid airtime loaded on my phone.

I then called into Capitec's client help desk ( ********** 043) I then explained the situation to the lady and she then informed me that within 48 hours the airtime will reflect on my cellphone. 48 Hours later... one of the R100 prepaid airtime vouchers reflected but not the other? I then called again and explained my new situiation the lady on the phone said " the airtime is automatically loaded back onto the phone so I will need to log this to the service desk, it will take 7-14 working days to reflect " the woman commented. With a bit of frustration i then waited until the 16th of November having still not recieved the R100 airtime promised.

I now am far more annoyed that I have to follow up as to why it is still not done, were I spoke to a lady by the name of Bongeka she was very quick to inform me that the system shows the airtime was loaded onto my phone. She advised i contact MTN and get proff that this R100 prepaid airtime had not been loaded on my phone, which i did and sent the proof via email within the first hour after speaking with her.

It was then that I waited almost a week after many attemped calls to get in contct with Bongeka , speaking to a number of consultants that just arnt really willing to help. I finally got in contact with her today 24th of November after zero attemps from her side to prehaps contact me and provide feedback to the matter first started at the beginning of November.

She was very quick to put the blame onto others as to why I have not received feedback. I have found over the years that I am a reasonably patient person but after half an hour waiting on the phone to find out what is happening her feedback was nothing but pathetic.

Her response all and all was that the proof provided to her (that I had emailed her) which stated that I had not received the remainer R100 prepaid airtime (Proof from the cellular provider MTN) was incorrect and had no reference to the outstanding R100 airtime. I merely told the consultant that this is ridiculous and that I would rather not pull my hair out and deal with *********** people anymore and not to even bother about the remainer R100 airtime.

I now sit in the exact same position almost a month later, having probably spent the very first R100 airtime just on trying to contact someone to assist me.

I am a firm believer in customer service and how essentail that is , especially in today market where competitors are everywhere and its the service that sets you apart. I am happy to say that I will no longer be a Capitec client and I would never suggest that anyone bank with them.
