Complaints about the treatment I got from branch manager

To whom it may concern.

My name is karabo Letlalo.

On 31 January 2025 , I went to Capitec to enquire how much do I qualify for personal loan, I was helped by Mafu the consultant, who checked for me and told me that I qualify for R250 000 ,then she asked for payslip, i told her I will bring it on Monday 03 February 2025 .

On 03 February 2025 I went back to Capitec bank ,then Mafu and I recognized each other , we continue with the process , I gave her my payslip, then she told me Capitec bank can give me money R250k but because of my vehicle finances is in Arreas .according to Capitec system .i said i don't owe any of my account Mafu wanted the prove that showed my vehicle finances was up to date . I said I am coming back I am going to Standard bank to get prove .

Standard bank gave me latter that's confirms my account was up to date, within 30min I was back with the prove after she received the latter , she was fine then she told I won't get R250 000 ,that was Pre approval , the approved amount was R117 000 and credit card for R3500 . She turned the screen to asured it was the money I am going to get or approved , I asked her how long does it take for money to reflect in my bank , she answered "in few minutes after my manager signature the money will reflect in your account ".

She called the manager (Mmamoloko Matlema )who was not far , .Mafu and i started talking about the loan , she was saying that it is good offer , but I told her this is debt,not free money , I am going to pay it in 84 months R6800 which is R571 200.

While we were waiting for manager , Mafu asked me to put my finger on the scanner , while that was happening , i was thinking in 2024 June I wanted to buy a house . I was denied 100% bond the only offer was 80% because I did not have credit history at all. people who work with finace, banks adviser and home loan adviser told me to get a credit card and personal loan including car financing, clothing account and cell phone contract in order for me to get 100% bond home loan. I must create debt in order for me have house .my creditors are TFG R900, RAIN WIFI R625, CAR R10 400 .

Having credit card and personal loan will complete the requirements need For 100% bond.

While I'm still thinking I'm in the right direction.

Then the manager(Mmamoloko Matlema ) came in. She gave me a look,that i will never forget ,like am nothing. she said no she cannot sign to release the money, i thought banks give credit based on my ITC record ,3 month bank statement and payslip worse part i also bank with capitec .she ask for my phone went through my bank app like am nothing.she told me to go ,she will call me back in one hour ,i ask her what are you doing she said nothing i must wait for her call. I could have made noise and shouted , as I was walking she was talking about my salary ,she undermined and disrespect me.l thought she was Making a joke ,Mafu couldn't believe why her manager was acting that way because she was suppose to reliese the money , I kept quite, other people were listening I was sad , she was proud of what she did to me , branch manager judge people according to their salary.she said a lot to me including Deformation of character. Am not her ,I won't behave like her ,I don't go around ruining people's life .I did not believe my eyes a person of her caliber.

She never called me , until I called her the following day on 04 February 2025, when I call she just say no , when I ask her she was too quick to dismiss and rude to me , after I decided to call the Capitec offices to enquire , the head office put me to another branch , the other branch couldn't assist me , they referred me back to Tembisa mall branch (Mmamoloko Matlema) ,to the same manager who refused to sigh for me , then I drove to another branch to confirm what am seeing Capitec bank branch(Mmamoloko).what she did to my profile at capitec, my God have Messi on her ,just to double check, then i went to the other branch in the same mall the response from Capitec system said I don't meet requirements.not so long hardly 24hrs i was granted fair and square credit .Because of Mmamoloko Matlema.am sorry to say ,if I was white ,none of this could have not happened, maybe am wrong I stand to be corrected .she looked down on me .

More pain came when Nedbank declined and said [ I don't meet requirements as well ],then I started thinking what could have went wrong, only to find that my ITC is ruined by Capitec bank branch (Mmamoloko Matlema)is the only bank I submitted my documents and i spoke to two people at Tembisa mall Capitec, I don't know what Capitec branch manager did to my ITC . People around the financial sector say she red flag my ITC, i wont get credit at all, I want my life back .I work very hard for my salary I did nothing wrong .I regret that day , pain and suffering being humiliated by (Mmamoloko Matlema)she is evil .

My ITC is ruined because of Capitec branch manager (MmamolokoMatlema), I pay all my creditors. I missed a opportunity to buy a house because of Mmamoloko Matlema I told my home loan agent the bad news ,well good news the is another house in the same area am hoping once my ITC is sorted,I hope Capitec will help me buy a house is 1.5 million .

Today 06 February 2025 I went to ask Mmamoloko Matlema to explain what happened, she said she never checked my details properly my bank statement,her story is the was a lot of discrepancy she could not explain her reason for her actions , she is proud to ruin my future .she said I must email Capitec and if the is nothing wrong Capitec will fix this mess she created. She has the right to do what she did to me .if she does not feel right about something , she said according to her feeling not what was in front of her which is my bank statement, payslip . What a poor reason .I must suffer because of her of her incompetence ,she admitted that it was approved but she felt like I don't deserve it. I don't have a home ,this has affected my work I cannot concentrate, am in pain where will I get credit and how am I going to further my career with a ruined ITC record because of incompetence, I wish I could have recorded her .the are no cameras at the branch it would have being better if the was cameras to see her actions and how she humiliated me .I want my life back.
