Complaint Regarding Violation of My Financial Rights and Access to Funds, Immediate Release of Funds and Refund of Unauthorized Deductions

I fortune Hlako,I feel that my human rights have been violated as a Black woman and a citizen of South Africa.

I previously had an account that was closed after unauthorized deductions were made from it. An amount of R3,500 was taken twice, totaling R7,000. I reported this to the bank, but they failed to resolve the issue or prevent further deductions. As a result, I was forced to close that account.

I then opened a new account at the Lephalale branch. I transferred R12,500 from my African Bank account which is my salary account into my business account i opened recently with Capitec Since 26 March 2026, I have been unable to access my funds. The bank has continuously given me excuses and has not provided a clear resolution.

I am currently in Johannesburg and urgently need access to my money. The situation has caused significant hardship, as I have children who depend on me and require immediate support.

I am requesting the immediate release of my R12,500, as well as the refund of the R7,000 that was ********ly deducted. The ongoing delays and lack of assistance from bank management are unacceptable.
