Changing interest om money not borrowed

<p>We had a personal loan. We then asked for a settlement amount. We saw in the amount was included interest for the following month and for the remainder of the month as we paid the loan up on the 21st. It is my understanding that interest cannot be charged on money not yet borrowed. Urgent response will be appreciated. </p>
